Mr. Umer Azmatullah is a multidisciplinary public sector leader and professional engineer with academic qualifications in Engineering, Law and Management, and advanced professional training from several countries including the USA, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, and China.

With over 17 years of experience in the power sector, urban development, and public governance, he is currently holding the position of Chief Operating Officer / GM HR & Admin at the Energy Infrastructure Development and Management Company (EIDMC), and serving as Director on the Boards of Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO) and Guddu Power Company Limited (GPCL). 

He has previously held senior roles notably Deputy Secretary International Cooperation/ Tariff and Subsidy Power Division, Director and Executive Magistrate in the Capital Development Authority (CDA) Islamabad Capital Territory  Area .

Mr. Azmatullah possesses extensive expertise in international cooperation, power sector reforms, infrastructure development, energy policy, and diplomatic engagement, and is recognized for executing major infrastructure projects in Islamabad and hosting prominent diplomatic events, including national day celebrations of the UAE, China, Türkiye, Oman, and other partner countries.
